Eyewitness Sees Kent...
Obviously, my primary motive for hosting this website was to find Kent. Second to that - I felt that if I posted such a site, word would get out and the public would send in tips that I could then forward to the Jacobs family as well as Detective Trogdon.
Well, it happened.
On May 5th, at 2:11am I received an email from a person who wishes to remain anonymous as far as this website goes. The Jacobs and Law Enforcement know this person's identity. They just do not want their name posted here on the site.
Keep in mind that Kent vanished eight years ago so peoples' memories naturally fade.
This is very important. Kent vanished on a Sunday. What we do not know for 100% if the account you are about to read is for Saturday, March 9th, or Sunday, March 10th.
We all believe it is March 10th, but there is room for a sliver of doubt.
Setting Up The Lead:
We have always thought along the lines that Kent walked along Jackson Street into the woods and exited on Orchard, then walked along Johnson to Porter Rd. From Porter Rd he made his way over to Brooklyn Circle where he was last seen by a man driving his truck where Brooklyn Circle intersects with Hulon. The time was roughly 5:00pm, Sunday, March 10th, 2002. We did not know that this was factual - but it was all we had to go on.
This tip came in as a result of flyers that were passed out in the neighborhood promoting this website. Ok - here you go:

I just wanted you to know that on 'that day', we saw Kent TWICE.
First time being early in the day. Kent was leaving Jefferson Street, going onto Calhoun, then cutting onto Jackson.
We believe he cut thru the woods that comes out on Orchard St & Johnson St., and then he proceeded to the Brooklyn Circle area.
This was between 10:00am and 12:00 noon.
I say this because the next time we saw him was hours later at the corners of Porter Rd and Johnson Rd.
It was eight years ago, but our recollection was between 2:00pm and 5:00pm. Don't nail us down on the time -but I vividly remember the sun beginning to set in our eyes. I remember that for sure.
Kent was heading back towards the wood behind Orchard St. He was walking with a kind of swagger. He had on some type of jacket and I'm positive he wore a jacket. I'm unclear if it was a blue wind breaker type, but I lean more towards it being a jean jacket. Jeans, a hat and sneakers.
I have sent this to you simply because Kent was not last seen on Brooklyn Circle. But rather heading back towards the area of
Hancock, Jefferson, Jackson and Calhoun streets.
We will be attending the meeting on the 10th and will readily admit I am on the treasure hunt. At the time of this we lived in the area.
Jackie, (Kent's sister) talked to our family. We simply wanted to help.
Also, we were asked by a gentleman connected to the family to tackle Kent and hold him there if we saw him again.
I discouraged that as I was afraid we'd cause physiological trauma to Kent. I suggested one of us keep him in our sights and the other run to call 911.
I hope that soon the Jacobs family receives their long overdue closure.
And until they do I praise you and them for the continued efforts to bring this man the justice he deserves. I hope we have in some small way helped. We at least feel better knowing we've tried.

Maybe this information is wrong.
The Jacobs are not so sure for one reason and one reason only. It has to do with the eyewitness account of the man driving his pickup and saw Kent at 5:00pm at Brooklyn Circle/Hulon Street.
They believe that pretty much 99% The source is just too credible.
I spoke with Jackye, Kent's sister, and she is not so sure that Kent could be seen on Brooklyn Circle at 5:00pm and yet be seen near Orchard St (woods) between 2:00 and 5:00pm.
Eight years is a long time to look back. Fortunately - law enforcement did interviews that first week so that will be on the 'to-do list in the immediate future. Try and match up 8 year old memories with statements that were taken in March of 2002.
